چکیده
Non-Methane Volatile Organic Compounds (NMVOCs) from domestic aerosol sprays are emerging pollutants and have substantial negative effects on human health the environment. This study, for the first time, carried out quantification of NMVOC emissions from off-the-shelf sprays, at “source” in UK. These sprays contain harmful organic compounds as propellants products. The results showed that the cosmetic category (i.e. body sprays) higher concentrations NMVOCs with 93.7 wt.% per can compared to households air fresheners) 62 wt.%. Also, water-based products less all analyses solvent-based formulations. Direct replacement Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) conventional products with ‘clean air’ nitrogen) potential emission reduction 50%. Hair spray products, however, highest ozone forming about 105.1 g Ozone per litre of the product other sprays. level global warming contribution selected UK was measured be 129.8 ktCO2e in 2018 globally, this projected 3154.6 2020. Furthermore, NMVOC emissions contribution 61.2 kt in 2018 based annual consumption 520 million cans. Globally equate 1437.6 kt usage 17.5 billion Therefore, it is vital expedite replacing LPG propellant nitrogen a drive ‘near-zero’ industry. The results presented study also used steer policy makers potentially brewing danger an otherwise passive source.

Methane (CH4) emissions from animals represent a significant contribution to anthropogenically produced radiatively active trace gases. Global and national CH4 budgets currently use predictive models based on emission data from laboratory experiments to estimate the magnitude of the animal source. This paper presents a method for measuring CH4 from animals under undisturbed field conditions and...

متن کاملEffects of airflow on VOC emissions from "wet" coating materials: experimental measurements and numerical simulation
The impact of airflow on volatile organic compound (VOC) emissions from “wet” materials has long been noticed. However, a comprehensive mass transfer model that can predict such an impact has not been reported. The objective of this research was to fill that gap. First, we measured the VOC emissions of “wet” coating materials (a decane and a wood stain) using a small-scale (0.4 m3) and a full-s...
